Pioneer Museum
The Pioneer Museum is housed in the oldest building in Pretoria, dating back to 1848. Originally built by Cape Colony farmer David Botha, the clay-built, thatched-roof farmhouse served as a halfway station for travelers with coach-houses and stables catering to their needs. In 1975, the property was transformed into the Pioneer Museum to preserve its rich history.
